Steve Rogers (Evans) is a scrawny and medically challenged young man who tries constantly to get into the military. Due to his size and health problems no one will take him. After a military scientist sees him profess his love for joining the military the scientist decides to pass him and try him out with an experiment that he has been working on. This experiment will make him stronger and bigger and turns him into Captain America., who becomes the American people’s saviour during the war. He gives them hope. Of course a villain is in the mix to wreak havoc. While Steve feels like a bit of a joke he decides to take on the challenge of bringing down the villain. Will he succeed.

Ah Chris Evans, where to begin. What a great choice a s Captain America. You had vulnerability, heart and strength. I enjoyed this movie. I love the characters that Stanley Tucci plays (he can do everything!) and Tommy Lee Jones is one fine actor and handsome to boot.  I love when Jones is humorous. So funny. Hugo Weaving as the villain was great. But  sorry to admit I couldn’t separate him from his Matrix villain.

All in all this movie was a feast for the eyes, great sets, great costumes great music. I love that time period. Apart from the war of course. I especially loved the ending. Without giving anything away, it was bittersweet.

Can’t wait for The Avengers to come out!
