Once I got cold (and eyesight a bit blurry) I put on my Black label glasses and my work colleagues black jacket (as I forgot mine at home, lucky she has 3 jackets out the back), and upgraded the look to look slightly more corporate.

I loved wearing this outfit today. I felt very professional. Not that I don’t normally but there is something about a chic black and white outfit to make you feel the part.

I just finished watching this movie and my face is still numb and puffy from crying for nearly two hours straight.
This movie was made so beautifully and I think with respect to the situation. Which for a story like this it has to be.
I just read an article on what the real family, The Alvarez’s went through. I was impressed that the movie pretty much showed exactly the sequence of what happened. Most true story adaptations are embellished or changed slightly to be more appealing to the audience.
Well this wasn’t an appealing situation and it is a true story so the movie needs to reflect that.

The performances in this film were absolutely stellar! Naomi Watts did a fantastic job playing Tsunami survivor Maria.
Ewan McGregor was equally as amazing and raw.
But for me the standout performance in this movie has to be Tom Holland playing the eldest son Lucas who looked after his mum and the lost toddler Daniel, all while helping to reunite other families at the hospital. He was absolutely heartbreaking to watch. To have such talent and restraint at such a young age is applaud able. I’m actually quiet surprised he wasn’t nominated for an Academy Award let alone a Golden Globe. And the two younger actors playing Tomas and Simon were equally as talented and gorgeous.

I’m still teary even writing this.

Easily one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time.

I know done if you won’t want to see it as its too ‘real’ and painful and a but depressing, but it happened.
It’s almost like you’re taking a big jump into the news story.

I will say having watched this and read interviews with Maria Alvarez, that she and her family are amazingly courageous and such an inspiration of never giving up hope.

I hope one day you get to find the little boy Daniel who would be all grown up by now, do you can see how he turned out.

I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to watch this movie! However on ease be warned, take a box of tissues and don’t wear any makeup. It will just all come off.

It’s so stunning I’ll post 2 pictures. I absolutely LOVE this dress!!! While some people would think her hair needs to be up I love it down. I am someone who very very very rarely wears her hair up. I would have done the exact same thing. It just works for Kate. She is effortless. This is BEAUTIFUL! Hands down best dressed. I love the gold detailing. It is made to perfect and suits her so well. Winner!

Jennifer Garner in Vivianne Westwood

Jennifer hardly puts a fashion foot wrong with me. My favourite colour is red and I love a bit of glitz and this reminds me of a modern day Jessica Rabbit dress. The fabric flows so well. This is perfection for Jennifer. I love that later at the In Style party she literally let her hair down. Gorgeous. The up do is nice and not to severe.

Kristen Bell in Jenny Packham

I have never seen Kristen Bell look so good. She looks incredible!! This mana to be is absolutely glowing and this colour is divine on her. I love the detailing of the Jewell’s around the chest an under the bust. The back is also beautiful with the Jewell’s traveling down to the train. Her hair is styled to perfection and her make-up is flawless. This is Amazing!! A+++

Zooey Deschanel in Oscar De La Renta

I love pretty much everything that Zooey wears and this beautiful red De La Renta is added to my list. I love her 50′s style. It works so well for her. I love a bit of vintage and Zooey works the look so well. The shade of red is amazing against her skin tone and the pearls and pony tail finish it off with class.

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen

Love, love, love! When fellow Aussie Nicole gets it right she gets it RIGHT. She looks statuesque and damn chic. The makeup, the hair, modern and cool. The dress is fantastically constructed. The corset like top is tapered beautifully. This is how you do modern gowns. Designers take note! Fabulous!!

Julianna Margulies in Pucci

I have been a fan of Julianna’s since I was a kid watching E.R. Now I don’t watch the good wife (I know what’s wrong with me), but this woman is stunning. Her dark hair, the eyebrows, flawless. This dress is like it was made for her and her only. I love lace and I love black lace even more. This is great! My favourite moment of the whole awards telecast was on the red carpet when George Clooney vane up to day hi to Julianna while Ryan Seacrest was interviewing her. Doug Ross & Carol Hathaway forever!

Kerry Washington in Miu Miu dress and Prada shoes

I adore this on Kerry. I normally don’t like the 2 length dressed but this I will make an exception for. The colour is divine against her skin and the detailing is beautiful. Other women would wear this and it would tacky but Kerry makes this look classy and elegant with a modern twist. The hair is also straightened to perfection. Love it!

Isla Fisher in Reem Acra

Another fellow Aussie doing us proud. This is gorgeous! I love the colour on her. The tan is nice and bronze without being overdone and the detailing of this dress is amazing. I love the side swept hair and minimal makeup with minimal jewellery. Young starlets take note.

Clare Danes in Versace

Amazing! Can you believe she had a baby one month ago! Yeah me either.
The red is stunning, the gather is pulled in to give her a beautiful silhouette and that brooch on the side is delicate yet creates a tiny but of drama to the dress. Again I love the hair out and the makeup is gorgeous. Love Clare.
Angela Chase would sure win Jordan Catalano in this dress. Hehe!

Megan Fox in Dolce and Gabbana

Seriously! Megan would look good in a potato sack. This is gorgeous. The colour is great and I love that’s its styled so elegantly. Gorgeous!

Lea Michele in Ellie Saab

While I think Lea is maybe a little too tanned you cannot fault this dress. I love Ellie Saab and this is constructed beautifully. The split is not too high and it pulls in at the waist at exactly the right spot on Lea. I also love the look of a halter neck. My favourite style. The hair is gorgeous and those emerald earrings, forget about it. Well done lea. She always looks gorgeous.

Guilianna Rancic in Celia Kritharioti

This is kind of amazing. The choker effect at the neckline is almost medieval looking and the lace and velvet is stunning. I think this dress is perfect on Guilianna. Her hair is in a funky messy up-do with a cute black and crystal headband. Love it. A great up and coming Greek designer. I’m a bit bias because a Greek made it I guess. But I love it!

Jessica Alba in Oscar De La Renta

Jessica always looks cool and elegant and this is no exception. The coral colour is amazing on Jessica’s skin tone. Her ombré hair is to die for and those Jewell’s! Omg! The coral lip is stunning on her as well. She is so elegant and sweet. I love it!

Alyssa Milano designer unknown

Now I know a lot of people don’t like this dress but I’ve been a fan of Alyssa’s since I was a kid watching Who’s The Boss. She can really do no wrong in my eyes. I like the colour in her, I like the embellished belt, the drape on the back is beautiful, the clutch is cool, and the turquoise earrings are stunning. What can I say in some pics it doesn’t look the best but when you saw her move on the carpet it looked great.

My second choice is Ben Affleck in a 3 piece Gucci suit. This is really cool and glam. He looked great. I live that he didn’t shave and kept the beard. It works so well. Big winner on the night in fashion and for Argo.

While I am a big fan of a bold lip a lot of the looks I have chosen are quite simple. These women’s natural beauty shines through and they look effortless.

Kate Hudson

Absolutely stunning! California beautiful. Such a happy soul and my goodness does it show. And look at that rock!

Megan Fox

This look is gorgeous on Megan. The earring colour compliments her eyes beautifully. This whole look just works. Simple make-up with a big impact.

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey is retro beautiful once again. I love that she sticks to a certain look and doesn’t conform to the modern trends. The pearls work great for her. The hair is classy and elegant just like the woman.
Lets not forget her cool nail designs.

Julianne Moore

Julianne’s make-up was breathtaking. Her skin is so fabulous and healthy and as a pale girl myself I appreciate the bold lip on such a porcelain face. And i have to mention how beautiful those Bvulgari earrings are. loved her make-up and loved her dress from the front only. The back unfortunately ruined it for me.

Jennifer Garner

Seriously can Jennifer ever look bad. To me she looks this good in sweats picking up the kids. Like Kate Hudson she is just a happy person whose beauty radiates all the time. Stunning! And beautiful earrings.

I have only just started reading this book and so far it’s fascinating. Once I finish it I will do a quick review. After what these boys then men went through I think they are remarkably brave.

My family had an early Christmas the Sunday before with my aunties and their kids visiting from out if town.
This was the outfit I chose to wear.
The clothing and shoes are from Witchery. I wanted to wear a colour buy it keep it classy at the same time (since we went to church in the morning). Wore flats to church though. Don’t need that many looks & talking my way.

The red hair piece was part of one of our presents. We all got a hairpiece to wear in our hair for the day. I have to say I kind of love it. It’s very 20′s looking. It has since lost a crystal.

Frankie Go Boom – A funny and quirky look at a pair of brothers dysfunctional relationship and the absurdity that occurs when they try to reconcile. With a killer cast lead by Charlie Hunnam of Sons Of Anarchy fame this movie will not disappoint. Also watch it for Charlie’s SOA co-star Ron Perlman (Clay) as a transvestite.

Ted – a foul mouthed talking teddy bear, a socially awkward Mark Wahlberg, an annoyed yet sweet girlfriend, a fascination with Flash Gordon, plus a cameo from Ryan Reynolds. Of course this movie is awesome! Watch it! Enough said.
However not one for little kiddies despite the cute looking bear.

50/50 – A young man who lives a healthy lifestyle finds out he has cancer. This story (based on the true story of writer Will Reiser), is an account of how the patient and his friends deal with the situation. Lead by a remarkable performance from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, this is one of the best films I have seen all year. I’ve owned it a week and watched It 4 times already. It is funny, smart and emotional. Definitely a MUST SEE.
